Details
This is more than a rocking chair — it's a piece of American heritage, made by one of the nation’s oldest chair makers. Nichols & Stone built their legacy on quality colonial revival furniture, and this rocker is a lovely example of that tradition — solid, soulful, and made to last. Hand-labeled and stamped at the Nichols & Stone workshop in Gardner, Massachusetts, Model 736-114 blends function and legacy in every curve.
A classic Windsor-style “Boston” rocker, it features:
- solid maple frame
- original black lacquer finish with vintage wear
- classic gold stenciling on the crest rail
- turned spindles, a carved saddle seat, and smooth, grounded rockers
At The Flourishing Atelier, we celebrate design that tells a story — and this chair speaks volumes. It’s perfect for a reading nook, nursery, sunroom, or fireside. Pair it with a soft throw or patterned cushion, and let it bring a quiet sense of history and harmony into your space.
